The Fresno Ideaworks LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Robot Education course will prepare elementary to middle school students and coaches for the 2019-2020 FIRST Robotics Lego League (FLL) season. The course focuses on engineering, technology, and computer science and integrates cross-curricular activities, such as science and math, encompassing all STEM curricula. Students will construct and program robots that  they can use in to solve realistic problems and perhaps compete in the First LEGO League challenge! Children gain the confidence to experiment, create and refine their designs. No prior knowledge or experience in programming or building robots.Students will be encouraged to conceptualize and collaborate on designs for the 2019-2020 FLL challenge: "City Shapers!"
In line with Fresno Ideaworks core values, FIRST Robotics mentors aspire to model gracious professionalism and cooperation. It's a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work and emphasizes the value of others, with respect for individuals and the community. In August, we will assist with the formation of FLL and FRC teams. Potential FIRST Robotics mentors and coaches are encouraged to attend.

This class meets twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from July 9th through August 12th, @ Fresno Ideaworks in the Circuit Circus (Tech) Room. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the class.

There is no fee for this class, but a $25 donation to Fresno Ideaworks will help us continue to offer opportunities like this.
